Numbers 6:24-26  – May the Lord bless and protect you; may the Lord’s face radiate with joy because of you; may he be gracious to you, show you his favor, and give you his peace.

Gratitude Day 720

We often say that a smile is worth thousands of dollars. The organization that we’ve selected for the March Our Monthly Resolution literally embraces this belief and lives in out in the work that they do to change people’s lives.

Logan’s Hearts and Smiles is our March non-profit organization that we are supporting through Our Monthly Resolution. Their mission is to help families with children who have special needs ease their burden and improve their homes. They provide resources to families so the necessary safety and accessibility modifications can be made to their homes for the benefit of their special needs child.

Specifically, what type of modifications does Logan’s Heart and Smile assist with? They construct wheelchair ramps, safety fences, enlarge doorways, install handrails, make modifications to bathrooms and other custom home improvements.

Logan’s Hearts and Smiles is named after Logan Harr. Born with cerebral palsy, he died when he was four. Logan’s father, Joe, founded this organization in honor of his son because getting a child in and out of their home should not be a luxury. This is the thought process that drives this organization.

This video shares more about Logan’s Hearts and Smiles:

My friend, Stacie, who contacted me about starting Our Monthly Resolution, knows what it is like to not have a home that is adaptive for a person with special needs. Stacie has MS and uses an electric wheelchair to get around. For years, she needed someone to help her get in and out of her house. Finally, a group of people got together one Saturday and built a ramp so Stacie can get in and out of her house when she wants. Hubby Rick feels blessed that he was part of the group that assisted with this project. He saw the smile that the completed ramp put on Stacie’s face.

Stacie also has had the bathroom in their house modified for her. These are not luxuries. These are necessary adaptations to their house so Stacie can be more independent.

Logan’s Hearts and Smiles helps provide resources to families that have children that need the same adaptations that Stacie did. These modifications bring huge smiles and joy to the families that receive them.

We believe that the work that Logan’s Hearts and Smiles does makes a huge difference in the lives of the families who receive the assistance. Will you partner with us in helping provide resources for their non-profit organization?

There are many different ways that we can extend God’s people to another person. Maybe it’s helping provide them a ramp. Possibly it’s getting them an accessible bathroom. It can be a modified bed or chair that assists a person with special needs.

These are the ways that we can bring joy and smiles to another person’s life. Together, let’s help bring those smiles to someone in need.

For the unique opportunity to bring smiles to families and kids with extra needs, I am grateful.

Blessings –

Dianne

Dear God – Thank you for taking care of me. Now, may I choose to work together and help bring smiles to those who have more additional needs. May we come together and do the things to help them know they are loved by You and us. Amen.
