Gratitude Day 640

Matthew 19:14 – But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.”

It’s the situation no parent wants to go through, wish upon someone or watch another person go through: the loss of a child.

And yet, it happens.

It’s time to announce our June Our Monthly Resolution and we think we have a good one: Bereaved Parents of Madison, Inc.

This organization provides support and resources to grieving families during and after pregnancy loss, stillbirth, infant death and subsequent pregnancies by offering personal and group support and programs and events for families. They also provide education and awareness to the community. Their approach is to nurture healing and renew hope with families who have lost a child.

When a family loses a child, they often yearn for someone who “gets it” and can relate to going through the loss of a child. Their programs include: HUGS: provides 1:1 peer support to parents going through a loss; monthly support groups and resources for families who have lost a child and are expecting again, often called Rainbow pregnancies.

Jesus calls the little children to him. Unfortunately, there are times when a family loses and child. Reconciling this huge loss is exceedingly difficult. Bereaved Parents of Madison, Inc. is available to help families navigate this time of hurt and loss.

We suggest a $20 donation but of course, any donation is very appreciated and helpful. Please indicate your donation is part of Our Monthly Resolution so we can track donations made through our group.

We appreciate everyone who has been a part of this group, donated and participated. And you are making a difference! In the first four months of 2021, Our Monthly Resolution has contributed at least $5,576.79! Stacie and I are confident this number is higher and feel amazed of the impact that we have generated! Every organization that we have worked with has been extremely grateful and appreciative for the donations they have received.

Loosing a child is very traumatic and challenging. Through donations to Bereaved Parents of Madison, Inc. during June, Our Monthly Resolution will be able to assist parents and families who find themselves in this unfortunate situation. We are glad that we are able to partner with them throughout the month of June.

For the ability to support families who have lost a child, I am grateful.
