Gratitude Day 603

Psalm 98:6 – Sound the trumpets and horns and celebrate with joyful songs for our Lord and King!

What would life be without relationships?

It certainly would be boring!

People are what make life so interesting. Crazy. Difficult. Rewarding.

Not everyone has the same capacity for people. Introverts want very small groups and shorter periods of time. Extroverts want more and longer. Those of us in-between? We love hanging out with people, but we also appreciate down time.

Today, I encourage you to celebrate the people who bring you great joy in your life. No matter what has been going on in your life, there is always reason to celebrate. We just have to remember it. Even when life feels challenging, I pray you know there is someone that you can call in the middle of the night … and they would show up.

Certainly, relationship have been stretched this past year. In light of the pandemic, we haven’t been able to see and hang out with people we love to do this with. A self-proclaimed introvert, Hubby Rick has been ready to see someone other than me these past few weeks. One day, a woman shared with me, “You know, I’m not really much of a hugger. But when this pandemic is over, I’m going to hug more. I’m hugging everyone.”

SO. TRUE.

Celebrate at least one person who brings joy into your life today. I’m confident that you have way more than one. And you can celebrate more than one. But celebrate at least one.

Sometimes, life is a matter of perspective. I encourage you to watch this little clip. First of all, this is from 2015. So, please overlook the no masks and no social distancing. But the message? Plenty of reasons to celebrate.

I hope little Jaden Hayes will inspire you to celebrate those people who bring you joy to your life today.

For those people who cause us to smile, I am grateful.

Blessings –

Dianne

Dear God – Thank you so much for bringing into my life those people who simple expel joy in all that they do. Thank you for bringing those people into my life. I pray that I will be more aware of sharing joy with those around me. Amen.
