Fasting vs. Feasting Reflection

Passport to Prayer – Lent 2016

Wednesday – Mar. 23, 2016

Joel 2:12: That is why the Lord says, “Turn to me now, while there is time. Give me all your hearts. Come with fasting, weeping, mourning.

As Lent began, you identified behaviors you wanted to fast and behaviors you wanted to feast upon. Consider the last 40 days. When has fasting this behavior(s) been difficult? Was it easier or more difficult to feast? Ask God to encourage you on this path of fasting and feasting. Consider adding a new set of behaviors.

Making lifelong change is possible only when you become part of the process, Almighty God. Thank you for being patient with me as I make positive changes to my life. Thank you for allowing grace when I fail and give up. Encourage me anew to continue this journey of modeling behavior desire by You. Amen.

Blessings –

Dianne
