Passport to Prayer – Lent 2016

Tuesday – Mar. 8, 2016

Luke 6:12-13a: One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray and spent the night praying to God. When morning came, he called his disciples to him and chose twelve of them.

What Jesus did right before choosing his inner circle of disciples. He prayed. Not wanting to make a mistake, Jesus intentionally spent time away. What is a big decision in your life or coming up? When can you find time to get alone and pray about it?

Lord God, your teachings about prayer are so important. As you encourage us to approach prayer boldly and honestly, make we make this part of our regular prayer life. When big decisions come our way, may you guide us to find time with you. Amen.
