Luke 2:6-7 – While they were there, the time came for her to give birth. Then she gave birth to her firstborn son, and she wrapped him tightly in cloth and laid him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.
Gratitude Day 920
Merry Christmas, my friends. My heart is full today as I type these words. I feel it is an honor when anyone reads a few of my words. And truly, I appreciate every single one of you who follows along with these little simple words that I try to shared.
Soon, we will be going to Christmas Eve worship. It’s my favorite Christmas tradition. There’s nothing like a room only lit with candles and voices joining together in “Silent Night.” It is in that moment that I know Christmas has arrived.
May I share a blessing for you, this Christmas? As you read these words, I encourage you to place your hand on your heart and read them as a little prayer that I have written just for you.
O Holy Night. The night is brightly shining because yes, the baby has arrived.
Thank you, Dear God, for this most wonderful gift.
A gift that is worth more than I could ever give back.
And one, I pray that I know deeply in my heart is just for me. For my family and friends.
For those who I care for the most.
Let this Holy Night quiet my heart. My soul.
May I know that I am enough in Your eyes. And this is what is most important.
May I embrace this beautiful gift You offer me today and every day.
Thank you. Thank you for this night, this life, this baby.
When I forget to remember how special I am to You – enough that you sent a baby for me – help me remember.
Remember that in Your eyes, I am enough.
Thank you for this Holy Night. And Your deep, deep love.
Thank you for blessing me this day, O Holy One. Amen.
Merry Christmas, my dear friends.
Blessings –
Dianne
