Romans 8:26 –In the same way, the Spirit comes to help our weakness. We don’t know what we should pray, but the Spirit himself pleads our case with unexpressed groans.

Gratitude Day 906

Sometimes, it’s so difficult to understand why things happen. Whether you live anywhere near where Hurricane Helene or Milton left their path of destruction, it is normal and difficult for our hearts and minds to not understand. To feel overwhelmed. To wonder why.

And even if you are far, far away from hurricane destruction, there are so many people who feel overwhelmed. We each can have our own storm of wild wind and pounding rain and hearts that are struggling and full of uncertainty. Sadness. Doubt. Pain.

Yet, don’t we yearn for the stories where people have stepped in and helped? In spite of their own loss and disappointment, choose to help someone else who is struggling?

Aren’t these people AMAZING?

Think about it. Who has been one of those people who has tried to cheer you up during a difficult season of your life? Someone who keeps plodding along, no matter what is going on in their life. Someone who always sees life as a glass half full rather than a glass half empty?

This is what I do know. I have an AMAZING life. Yes, it is far from perfect. But there are so many good and great things in my life that I overlook. Take for granted. Fail to totally appreciate. And then, a storm comes rolling in and I am humbled and brought back to my knees and I realize that I am blessed. I have people who care for me and encourage me and hold me up when life doesn’t always make sense.

If you are one of those people who is struggling today, I pray that I can encourage you to feel love. Experience God’s love. Know that there are a whole bunch of other people, including me, who love and care for you. Who know you are AMAZING, even if sometimes, you forget this for even a minute.

You matter.

You are seen.

You are beautiful.

You are AMAZING.

God loves you.

And so do I.

I am so thankful for the people who stopped by here and take a minute to be with me here in this space. Just in case I haven’t told you lately, thanks for hanging out here with me. You make my day when you read. Share a thought back with me. Let me know you appreciate something.

May I encourage you today to tell yourself that YOU are AMAZING? I know. For some people this is difficult. But shove that silly difficult voice aside and year your own, true voice. That YOU are special. Unique. Created and loved by God. And YOU, my friend, if you are struggling right now, please know you are being lifted up in prayer today.

I love this verse from Romans 8. It’s very clear. When we run out of words to pray, we are not to worry. The Holy Spirit has all the necessary words and shares with on our behalf. How special and wonderful and AMAZING is this? I never tire of hearing this verse. I pray you don’t either.

Friend – whatever is going on in your life, the Holy Spirit already knows. And has prayed for YOU. May this be a word of encouragement for you today.

I ran across this song this week. Sung by an unexpected voice. Please listen. I pray it will encourage you as well.

Have a blessed day.

For the comfort in knowing that the Holy Spirit prays for me when I run out of words, I am very grateful.

Blessings –

Dianne

Loving God – It’s difficult to share that there are times when I run out of words. I don’t know what to pray or I am left speechless by something that has happened in my life or in the world around me. May I be comforted in knowing that the Holy Spirit already has it all under control and has already prayed the words I couldn’t find. Thank you, O Lord, for this amazing act of love. May I accept and feel Your love today and every day. Amen.
