Hebrews 2:15 – But he also died to rescue all of us who live each day in fear of dying.
Gratitude Day 759
Loosing a loved one is difficult. Challenging. Hard.
Loosing a loved one in an accident or fire and not being able to locate the body? Excruciating.
Our July Our Monthly Resolution organization – WI K9 SOS – is a non-profit organization that is a volunteer search and rescue K9 unit. They search for missing persons – alive or dead – on land, water and in buildings.
Formed in 2005 in response to the need for trained search dog teams in Wisconsin, WI K9 SOS Search and Rescue, Inc., provides trained search dog teams in Wisconsin specifically for the purpose of locating lost persons. They assist with body detection on land, water, ice, burned buildings as well as providing assistance at disaster scenes. They work in urban and wilderness areas and in bodies of water.
WI K9 SOS responds to needs 24-hours-a-day. They are available 365 days a year and never charge for provided services. They respond as requested by public safety agencies.
Professional rescuers use trained search dogs to locate lost or missing people. On land, they search for lost hikers, hunters, missing children and Alzheimer patients. They conduct cadaver searches on land, water and in ice. The situations they go into are never pleasant. There is a reason why they have been called and they are committed to doing the best they can to help.
Funds raised through Our Monthly Resolution will allow for additional training for the dogs and professional handlers.

When we think of the word “rescue” we think of someone in trouble. A situation where they need additional help to find their loved one. I think it is impossible to know the feelings and emotions one would have unless you find yourself in a challenge situation yourself. I hope that we choose to support them now knowing that every dollar they receive is put towards saving a life and/or family.
Fortunately, most of us have not had a need to enlist their services. But if we would need to, we would be very dependent upon their services, handlers and dogs. Let’s help provide the necessary resources so the handlers and dogs are ready to help out in a moment’s notice.
For furry legged friends and their ability to perform search and rescues, I am grateful.
Blessings –
Dianne
