Passport to Prayer – Lent 2016

Psalm 145:19: God shows favor to those who honor him, listening to their cries for help and saving them.

Today, make prayer not a monologue with God but a dialogue! Ask God a question and then pause, listening for an answer. This may take more time and you may not get an answer right away. Yet, this practice allows for space between you and God.

We want instant answers to our prayers, Holy God. Help us to be more patient. May our ears be as ready to listen as our mouths are to talk. Amen.
