Passport to Prayer – Lent 2016

Saturday – Feb. 27, 2016

Psalm 90:1: Lord, you have been our dwelling place throughout all generations.

Have you ever written a prayer to God? Some people find it helpful to write out their prayers than say then aloud or in their head. Yes, it takes longer, but this also allows for more time to think through your prayers. Today, write out a thank you prayer to God. Children can draw a picture. As God has been with you and your family for generations, indicate the ways you are thankful for God’s daily presence in your family’s life.

Choose a second person from your helping others list. Determine how you can be the light of God in their live in the next day or two.

As my pen or pencil glides across paper this day, I’m reminded of all my ancestors whose presence was graced by you. Thank you for your faithfulness yesterday, today and tomorrow. Amen.

Blessings –

Dianne
