Passport to Prayer – Lent 2016
Thursday – Feb. 25, 2016
Psalm 139:7-8: Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there. If I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
Continue reading this psalm from verses 7-12. Where is God? God is everywhere. We can’t escape God! Today, leave your regular prayer spot. Go to a completely different spot; maybe something unusual like a closet or small, dark room. Be still and listen for God in the whisper. Then, go to another new spot: in the car, the basement, etc. Repeat as many times as you’d like. In each place, listen quietly for God. Thank God for always being present with you.
It’s amazing, God, that I can’t run away from you. No matter where I go, your presence is always with me. May this encourage me in my spiritual journey and how I then pray. Thanks for always being there. Amen.
Blessings –
Dianne
