PassportPassport to Prayer – Lent 2016

Saturday – Feb. 20, 2016 –

Romans 1:9: God knows how often I pray for you. Day and night I bring you and your needs in prayer to the one I serve with all my might, telling others the Good News about his Son.

While we often pray for ourselves, it is just as important to pray for others. Do you have a prayer list of people that you pray for on a regular/daily basis? If not, create one today. A starting point would be the weekly prayer list in your church’s bulletin. Add additional names that you want to include. Then during your prayer time, mention each person’s name aloud as a way to lift them up in prayer.

Look at the people you plan to help this Lent. Pick one person off this list and prepare a way to help them.

Dear God – it is powerful when I know someone else prays for me and/or over me. Help me become a prayer warrior for others; someone who takes seriously the opportunity to pray for those I become aware of who need prayer. Open my heart to making this an important and regular part of my day. Make clear a way that I can reach out to the person I plan to help. May they be prepared by you to receive my assistance. Amen.

Blessings –

Dianne
